About CVMG Art Walk

The Claremont Village Marketing Group Art Walk takes place every first Saturday in the Claremont Village from 5 to 8 pm. Each Art Walk features local galleries, amazing artists, light bites and refreshments. Be sure to mark your calendar each month, you may find the perfect statement piece for your home and collection!

  

The Art Walk is intended to support Claremont’s vibrant art scene. Village business owners rotate exhibitions on a regular basis and introduce the community to upcoming artists as well as bring attention to new work by seasoned artists. Our goal is to enjoy, view and sell art.

"Sonia Sleeger & Forest Hill" Sleeger, a self-taught multidisciplinary artist from SoCal artist, enjoys working with acrylics, alcohol inks and oils to create a unique style of contemporary art. She is an exhibiting member of the PVAA. Hill, a California Native, paints colorful

Created in oil and pastel mediums, his visions are a mixture of Realism and Impressionism.

John Sparagana “Interference Patterns” is comprised of nearly 100 works in multiple media in which the artist remixes source material drawn from magazine pages, comic books, artists’ books, news images, and his own prior exhibition catalogues. “The Meditative Object” includes traditional meditative objects, such as Japan

John Sparagana “Interference Patterns” is comprised of nearly 100 works in multiple media in which the artist remixes source material drawn from magazine pages, comic books, artists’ books, news images, and his own prior exhibition catalogues. “The Meditative Object” includes traditional meditative objects, such as Japanese mandalas that Buddhists use as visualization tools for spiritual practice, as well as objects such as Qur’anic calligraphy and abstract painting. “Art Hall Projects 1: Manuel López” includes drawings that depict landscapes and scenes of daily life in East LA. As is common in López’s practice, a title for the work will emerge as the mural nears completion.

Echoes of a decade. This is a group show that celebrates some of the many artists who have been represented by Studio C over the last 10 years. All of the paintings will be 10“ x 10“. We will have cake and drawings for prizes.

"Gorman Bentley: Enlighten". Art can simply decorate and/or serve to enlighten the viewer into new insights and perspectives of self. Installed on the walls of the hotel lobby and bar are eleven larger works that may be seen as mere decoration or as vehicles into a deeper understandings. You decide.

Extraordinary PVAA artists demonstrate their skills beginning at 4 p.m. Tymeri Cuervo, will lead interactive throwing on the potters wheel. Robin Driscoll, will show how to paint using alcohol inks. Sonia Sleeger, will demonstrate painting with acrylics.

Claremont Village Art Walk is held the first Saturday of each month and is open only to Village businesses, galleries and museums located in the downtown district.


We must receive the name of your artist, title of show, short description and an image by the Saturday prior to Art Walk (7 days in advance) in order to be included in the map and publicity.
